Gayle Lynds

Gayle Lynds was born on June 23 in Nebraska, raised in Iowa and now lives in California. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School (class of 1963) in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and then attended the the University of Iowa. There she earned a degree in journalism with a minor in socal studies.

She once worked at a think tank where government projects that ranged from making deserts bloom to designing military hardware that could eliminate all ife from entire continents. She has also earned a living as a newspaper reporter, Sunday school teacher, car salesperson, and magazine editor. She decided to be a stay at home mother for ten years, raising two children.

After a divorce from her first husband, Gayle married fellow author Dennis Lynds. Together they had two children and co-authored several books under the pseudonym of Nick Carter.

Sadly, Gayle's husband Dennis Lynds (aka Michael Collins) passed away in August, 2005.
