Laura Levine

Bio

Laura Levine

Laura Sue Levine was born in 1943. While well-known for her mystery novels, she started her writing career as a newspaper reporter/photographer. She later became an advertising copywriter (she was responsible for Count Chocula and Frankenberry cereals) and a sitcom writer. Her television credits include The Bob Newhart Show, Laverne & Shirley, The Love Boat, The Jeffersons, Three's Company, and Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman.

She has also written a humour book, Mr. Wrong: A Guide to the Least Eligible Bachelors in America (written in collaboration with photographer Dick Chodkowski), and a young adult book originally called Beverly Hills Flop. Unfortunately, the company who bought that book went out of business so it was only published in Germany.

Laura now lives in Los Angeles with her husband and their cat.
