Kate Collins

Bio

Kate Collins

Kate Collins (aka Linda O'Brien, Linda Eberhardt) was born and raised in Northwest Indiana, and decided early on that she wanted to become a teacher. She earned a Master's Degree in education from Purdue University, and taught elementary school for many years.

While raising her own two children, she became involved in all sorts of artistic hobbies (tole painting, needlework, crochet, embroidery, rug hooking, macrame, sewing, gardening) before turning to telling and finally writing stories. She sold several of them to children's magazines, but later turned to romance. After publishing numerous romance novels (under pseudonyms), her writing took another shift and she now has three mystery novels in her Flower Shop series.

She and her lawyer husband, Jim currently divide their time between Northwest Indiana during the mild months and Key West during the winter.
