Bio

Harlan Coben

Harlan Coben was born on January 4, 1962, in Newark, New Jersey. He attended Livingston High School (class of 1980) and earned a political science degree at Amherst College (class of 1984). After graduation, he worked in the travel industry but now writes full-time.

Harlan was the first author to win all three of the most coveted literary awards: the Edgar Award, Shamus Award and Anthony Award. His books are published in more than 22 languages.

He currently lives in New Jersey with his wife, Anne Armstrong-Coben (MD), and their four children.
